The part of the situation you never say to yourself. Out loud, in structure, in 50 minutes.
The premise
Senior leaders rarely lack information. What they lack is a protected hour to think clearly about a situation that matters.
By the time a decision reaches you, the data has been assembled, the options have been summarised and several people have already told you what they would do. The difficulty is not access to input. It is that every room you sit in has an interest in the outcome.
Coaching is the exception. One hour, one conversation, no agenda in the room other than your thinking. Nobody is nudging you toward a recommendation and nobody is steering you to a conclusion. You are being asked the questions that are difficult to ask yourself, by someone who has no stake in which way you go.
Most clients arrive with a situation they have already thought about a great deal. They leave thinking about it differently.
When coaching helps
None of these require a crisis. Most of the work happens well before something breaks.
What this is
Coaching is a structured conversation designed to help you think, examine your own assumptions, see the situation from angles you have not tried, and decide. The decisions stay yours. That is not a limitation of the method. It is the method.
This matters because it sets expectations correctly. If you want someone to analyse your market and hand you a recommendation, that is consulting, and it is a legitimate thing to buy. It is not what happens here.

Fifteen years in corporate finance and audit, followed by a decision to work on the part that actually determines outcomes: how leaders think when the answer is not obvious.
I am an ACC credentialed coach with the ICF (International Coaching Federation), with more than 170 hours of coaching experience. My professional background is in corporate finance and audit, including leading and managing teams, and work across several industries and organisational cultures. Today I run a business.
That background matters in one specific way. The situations clients describe, the pressure of a number that has to be defended, a team that is not delivering, a decision with political weight, do not need explaining from scratch. It does not mean I will advise you. The work stays coaching, and the thinking stays yours.
